Coffee Varieties
Filter Coffee
The traditional Filter Coffee with its extra high content on caffeine and the smooth taste is still the preferred beverage for breakfast in Germany and the northern part of Europe.
The Filter Coffee Machines from WMF prepare that fine beverage with the gently brewing principle to its perfection.
Café Crème
The typical Swiss national beverage, also called Café Schümli or Regular Coffee, makes its way around the world.
The brewing water (180 - 220 ml/Cup) is pushed through the compressed powder under a high pressure of 8 to 10 bar. That makes a light brown, velvety Crema on top of the coffee. The Café Crème is an elongated Espresso.
Espresso
The Espresso originates in Italy. This short drink, normally taken after a meal, gains popularity all over the world.
The brewing water (50 - 60 ml/Cup) is pushed through the compressed powder under a high pressure of 8 to 10 bar. The typical look of an Espresso is the hazel nutty, velvety Crema and the full, rich Aroma.
Cappuccino
The base of a Cappuccino is an Espresso or double Espresso, depending on the cup size. The Espresso is topped with Milk foam and some cocoa powder.
With WMF machines the Cappuccino is produced automatically in one go.
With fully automatic machines, the milk is foamed first and then the Espresso added.
Café Latte (Café au lait)
This french specialty consists half of Hot Milk and the other half is Espresso. To make it look more appetizing it is topped with a small amount of milk foam.
The Cafe Latte can be prepared automatically with WMF Coffee machines.
Latte Macchiato
This Italian specialty consists of one third hot milk, one third Espresso Coffee and one third Milk Foam. In order to get the typical layers, you put the hot milk first, then the milk foam and lastly the Espresso.
Even Latte Macchiato can be prepared fully automatically with WMF Espresso Machines
