In 1932, when Illycafé opened it's first roasting plant and office in Zürich, the three partners (Carlo Seitz, Dr. Ernesto Illy, Trieste and Dr. Roberto Hausbrandt, Honorary Consul, Trieste) decided to invest in best quality only. With their know how they made a significant contribution to the "espresso culture" in Switzerland and today the name Illycafé stands for for best quality and exclusive coffees. With the export brand "Bel Etage" Illycafe reaches coffee lovers all over the world - Illycafe Coffee is served in all those restaurants and cafés where quality is given priority.
